From Bluff GM, Mark Camiso:
“One of the things I enjoy every day at work is connecting with our guests through table touching. It’s not just about ensuring a great dining experience—every conversation feels like an opportunity to build relationships and strengthen our Mo’ Bettahs community. On my second month running the St George, Bluff location I met three high school students while table touching—Asher, Evan, and Kaden—who regularly came to Mo’ Bettahs for lunch. They were laughing, enjoying their meals, and radiating the kind of energy that immediately caught my attention. As we talked, they shared their stories, and I shared mine —about the store, my role, and why I’m passionate about what we do. At that moment, I realized how impactful table touching can be—not just for our guests, but for discovering talent. Right away, I saw their potential. They were confident, personable, and natural conversationalist—some of the qualities we look for in our team. So, I asked them: “Have you ever thought about working here?” Their excitement was instantaneous, and they eagerly agreed to come in for interviews. Fast forward a week, and all three had aced their interviews. Offering them jobs was an easy decision, and their enthusiasm was unmatched. Today, they’ve gone from being table touched to table touching—engaging with guests, ensuring everyone feels valued and taken care of. Moments like this remind me why I love what I do—recognizing potential, building relationships, and watching others grow into leaders.”
From Tami Mack, Director of Culture:
“Aloha can be found everywhere in the world. Asher, Evan, and Kaden made a great impression on Mark because they already have aloha. When you can make someone feel welcome, seen, appreciated, and loved, then they will feel aloha. Mahalo for your being a great example of being aloha!”
