Mo’ Bettahs opened Friday at 1801 Preston Road in Plano.  The restaurant, founded by brothers Kimo and Kalani Mack, features an array of Hawaiian Islands-inspired food. According to them, their goal is to “spread the aloha spirit by serving authentic fresh flavors using only the finest ingredients.”Signature menu items include Hawaiian staples like a plate lunch that comes with a choice of grilled teriyaki chicken or steak, kalua pig, pulehu chicken, katsu chicken or shrimp tempura. There is also a one-of-a-kind macaroni salad and steamed rice. The Mack brothers opened the first Mo’ Bettahs in Bountiful, Utah in 2008.  They now have more than 20 locations across Utah and Idaho.  Last November they opened their first restaurant outside of that area on Northwest Highway in Dallas.  Another new restaurant is set to open this month in Yukon, Okla. Just west of Oklahoma City.
